Graham Barker MD FRCS FRCOG, Consultant Gynaecologist, was born and went to school in Cambridge. He studied medicine at King’s College London and St George’s Hospital Medical School. He learnt general surgery and carried out research in ovarian cancer at the Royal Marsden Hospital and won an Astor Fellowship to study advanced surgery in Harvard Hospitals, Boston, USA. He studied the problems of pregnancy at Queen Charlotte’s Hospital in London.
While at University College Hospital London he subspecialised in the investigation of abnormal cervical smears, menopause and infertility before returning to St George’s Hospital Medical School as Senior Lecturer in Gynaecology.
Graham is interested in the complete range of gynaecological and early pregnancy problems including miscarriage, pelvic infections, menstrual problems, menopausal problems, ovarian cysts, vulva and vaginal symptoms, mild prolapse, urinary incontinence, fibroids, Mirena IUS menstrual control and manages these problems with a calm, efficient and gentle manner. He is delighted to be part of the team at the Harley Street Health Centre providing high-quality gynaecological care with a superb environment of screening, prevention and expert treatment.
Every year Graham takes part in the London to Brighton Run in his 1904 Cadillac. To keep fit Graham walks two King Charles spaniels, Charlie and Louis, in all weathers and runs with them whenever they see a cat or a fox which is quite often.
