If you have fructose intolerance, the small intestine is unable to absorb all of the fructose you consume. When it arrives in the colon undigested, it causes the production of gases which can lead to bloating, cramping, and diarrhoea.

No, a fructose blood test requires controlled fructose ingestion and timed blood draws performed by a trained healthcare professional. At-home alternatives do not currently exist.
Can dehydration affect my results?
Being dehydrated may influence blood sugar levels and cause inaccurate readings. That is why it is important to always follow fasting rules but stay normally hydrated before fasting begins.
