Fructose is a sugar that is found naturally, such as in fresh fruit, some vegetables & grains, & honey, as well as in processed foods containing refined sugars such as high fructose corn syrup.
If you have fructose intolerance, the small intestine is unable to absorb all of the fructose you consume. When it arrives in the colon undigested, it causes the production of gases which can lead to bloating, cramping, & diarrhoea.
We offer hydrogen breath testing for fructose intolerance, which measures your body’s response to fructose.
Our test checks for intolerance to:

When should I get tested?
You do not need to have a recommendation from a doctor in order to have this test, although your doctor may recommend it if you are experiencing unexplained symptoms of fructose intolerance, to help with either confirming or ruling out a diagnosis.
