Clean eating tip no.1: cut down on alcohol

Eating “clean” will improve your mood, energy levels, reduce your cholesterol and improve your protection against degenerative diseases in the future. Clean eating means plenty of fruit and vegetables, plenty of water, low sugar and salt, low saturated fats and a large reduction in processed foods. The impact of this kind of eating can be felt within days resulting in a feeling of increased well-being, high energy and better quality sleep.


Tip number 1 is to cut down on your alcohol consumption.  Keeping your alcohol consumption to one drink a day for women and two for men as a maximum level, will help prevent:

  • Liver damage and liver cirrhosis
  • Dehydration and exhaustion
  • Low mood
  • Poor eating habits as a result of too much alcohol
