Meet The Team
The Harley Street Health Centre started as a small family business and has since gone from strength to strength. We work with six experienced doctors, a leading therapist, a resident personal trainer and a highly qualified administration team. Dr. Enam Abood - Director
Dr. Abood is our head doctor. She has been practicing medicine for 30 years and specialises in general and preventative medicine. Dr. Abood is a sought-after expert on weight management and related issues including diabetes, high cholesterol, hypertension and chronic back and joint pain.

Dr. Ali Shakir - Director
Dr. Shakir is a master clinical hypnotherapist and master NLP practitioner. He has been helping people overcome their problems and life’s obstacles for over 10 years. His advice is frequently featured in the national press and monthly magazines.

Dr. Gabriele Schiffer
Dr. Schiffer is an experienced GP and an occupational health specialist. She is fluent in German and Italian.
Dr. Elaine Abberton
Dr. Abberton is an experienced GP and a member of the Royal College of General Practioners. She previously worked in the private sector in London and Dublin , Ireland.
Dr. Carolyn Bayer
Dr. Bayer is an experienced GP with a specialism in family planning, joint injections, elderly care and osteoporosis/HRT. Dr. Bayer is fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Hashim Alani
Dr Alani is a cardiology specialist and highly experienced general practionier. Dr Alani speaks fluent Arabic.
One 2 One Studio
Khalid Shakir
Khalid Shakir is our resident personal trainer and runs our private fitness studio. Khalid has an excellent track record in weight management, reducing back and joint pain and working with children. He can often be spotted putting clients through their paces in Regent’s Park on sunny days.

Miss Sophie Brown - Medical Secretary

Miss Lucie Moravkova - Medical Secretary
Lucie is fluent in Czech and English. Having spent many years as a nanny, Lucie enjoys working with children and helps to entertain our younger patients. Lucie loves skiing and learning more about London.
